Server back on track

HELLO everyone! The server build is back on track, we have some new hardware, and a better connection so where pretty sure we can do it! We are thinking of doing admin skins. other than that, we wont have any other downloadable content, making it the perfect server! Well, see everyone when the server is up!

Good news!

i may have discovered the root of the problems! We didnt install the hlds update tool on our server, this probably didnt let it connect to the Internet. later tonight we will remedy this nad hhopefully the server will be up. we have to keep it password locked if it stays up, cus we have to do some work. im already in the works for making the rules page for the start of the server. and we also have to make people admins and stuff.

Problems

well, sooner or later some problem had to arise. well, you can call it a problem if you want, i think it is. but some may feel different. The computer I’m using is really just awful. it cant even start simple programs. some people may argue, that I’m just being lazy, and i should give it time, or work on it. but this is America! who does that? if it doesn’t work or feel right, get a new one.

so, im gonna build a new computer. and if this all works out, it will be a win win, because its a lot faster than the comp we were using. p4 VS intel celeron… WOW I wonder who will win?

Work Started

work is hard, work is annoying, work is slow… the computer were using sucks, and has no moniter keyboard or mouse. whats the solution? constantly running back and forth from each computer, unplugging and replugging cables, downloading programs, waiting for games to install… its all hard work.

work was started tonight, because of the computers age, we had to wait a while. after all the loading and building and connecting, we got the nesessary programs installed. we need the map files for CS so were installing that, and soon verything should be ready.

if i had to give a opening time, i would say sometime next week.

Server Build Starting Soon

okay, on Sunday, ill have some of what i need, so i can start building the server.  now, i didn’t get a lot of suggestions, but i have made some preliminary decisions. its probably gonna be cs_office, and its gonna be 24/7. i was thinking of having theme days. a day where you only get one type of weapon all day. scout days, Deagle days, m4 days.even though I’m saying all of this, that does not mean you cant contribute. the servers not built yet dummy! I’m still wide open for suggestions, so shoot!

And by what i hear, servers do cost money. and a fair amount at that. this could bring up some problems in the long run, but it shouldn’t be too bad.  I can always set up a donation/pay pal thingy at the server start. and i should also have enough money to launch it.

now, about rules, the server rules are posted in the server rules tab. go ahead and read them and if your gonna be a regular on the server, don’t whine about them. I stand firm with my hatred of hacking, and audio/text spamming. if you think the rules are unfair, your being unfair. and if you see something i left out, be sure to tell me, i don’t want a lop hole anywhere in those rules for cheaters or anything like that.
